What defines a banger?
The Bucket: A deep, cup-shaped attachment made of heat-resistant material, usually quartz crystal.
The Heat Point: Unlike a bowl for flower, you don't use a lighter while inhaling. Instead, you pre-heat the bottom of the bucket with a butane torch until it reaches a specific temperature.
Adapters: The most common sizes are 10 and 14mm and you can use adapters in the case of mismatched joints.
The Process: Once the banger has cooled slightly to the "sweet spot," you drop a small amount of concentrate into the bucket using a tool. The concentrate vaporizes instantly on contact. You then cover the top with a "carb cap" to control airflow and finish the hit.
Best For:
Consuming concentrates, waxes, and oils.
Intense flavor profiles and high-potency sessions.
Banger Styles
Hourglass Terp Slurper: It combines the functionality of a standard terp slurper with a tapered middle section that restricts airflow and keeps oil contained within the heated zone.
Halo: A unique fusion of the blender style combined with features of a honeysuckle terp slurper.
Tornado: Angled port holes on the bucket's sides allows airflow into the banger; when used in combination with the plug style carb cap, air is pulled in creating a vortex within the bucket. This whirlwind spins the included standing pillar insert to stir melting concentrate and promote even vaporization.
Core Reactor: A core reactor refers to the center core piece in the middle of the banger, it helps keep and add heat retention to the middle of your banger.
Splash Guard Hammer: The splash guard feature effectively prevents unwanted splashes from entering the neck of your rig.
Kettle: The bulbous base creates a stronger vacuum for the vapor being inhaled into the piece.
Terp Bubble Slurper: A dish-like bottom with precision slits for pulling in melted concentrates. The bubble-shaped chamber enhances swirling and vaporization.
Round Bottom: The rounded bottom makes it easier to clean.
Recycler: The recycler tube feeds back into the bucket to ensure all of the concentrate is used.
Round Bottom Deep Bucket: Designed to maximize efficiency and flavor by forcing concentrates to pool in the center of the bucket, preventing oil from being sucked into the neck of the rig.
Lowrider: The design features a "descended" bucket that hangs lower, keeping the hot, intense area of the quartz further away from your face and closer to the rig. This is beneficial for smaller, more compact rigs.
Terp Blender: Features angled slits in its base that create a "tornado" of air which spins terp pearls to evenly distribute heat and oil.
Honeysuckle: The airflow slits in the bottom dish allow air to push your concentrate back into the bucket so you can enjoy them instead of watching them go to waste.
Funnel Side: This design is aimed at reducing waste and improving flavor by providing a controlled, slow release of material, preventing the "puddling" or overfilling that can occur with traditional bangers.
Control Tower: It functions as a hybrid between a traditional bucket and a terp slurper using a vertical, bottom-loading design that forces concentrates to vaporize in a high-temperature chamber.
What defines a carb cap?
The Lid: A heat-resistant cover made of glass or quartz that sits on top of the banger once the concentrate is inside. These come in a variety of styles including but not limited to:
Bubble: The spherical design provides an easy, near-airtight seal on top of flat-top quartz bangers. While they don't automatically spin pearls like a dedicated spinner cap, they can be used to manually spin terp pearls by continuously rotating the cap during the draw.
Cyclone: A cyclone carb cap (often called a spinner cap) is designed to create a vortex of air inside the banger to spin the terp pearls within.
UFO: The unique, flat, wide-topped "flying saucer" shape acts as a lid that seals in heat, while its angled, often central, tube directs airflow to move oil around the banger, ensuring even heating and preventing waste.
Cyclone Bubble: The benefits of a bubble cap with the ability to spin terp pearls with the cyclone.
Titanium: Specifically built for use with titanium nails. Small holes in the side of the cap allow for airflow while capping.
The Process: After dropping your dab into the hot banger, you place the cap over the opening. By rotating the cap or covering its small air hole with your finger, you "steer" the oil around the hot surface, ensuring every bit is vaporized without burning.
Best For:
Maximizing flavor by preventing the concentrate from burning off too fast.
High-efficiency sessionsâit ensures no vapor escapes into the air.
Achieving thick, milky clouds even at lower, lung-friendly temperatures.
What defines a terp peal/pillar?
The Baubles: Small, heat-retaining spheres (pearls) or elongated cylinders (pillars) made of quartz, ruby, or synthetic sapphire.
The Kinetic Energy: These pieces sit inside the bucket and are designed to spin or jump rapidly when you inhale, driven by the airflow from a specialty carb cap.
The Process: You drop the pearls or pillar into the bucket before heating. Once the banger is at temperature and the concentrate is added, your inhalation creates a vortex. The spinning motion spreads the oil thinly across the hot surface and keeps it moving, preventing "cold spots" and ensuring every drop vaporizes efficiently.
Best For:
Preventing "puddling" at the bottom of the bucket.
Maintaining heat for longer periods so the oil doesn't cool down too fast.
Adding a satisfying, high-speed spin to your session.
What defines a dab tool?
The Tip: A heat-resistant point made of stainless steel, titanium, or ceramic, often shaped like a tiny shovel, scoop, or needle.
The Handle: A long, textured grip that keeps your fingers a safe distance from the red-hot banger.
The Process: You use the tip to "scoop" or "pick" a small dose of concentrate from its container. While inhaling, you press the concentrate against the hot interior of the banger, swirling the tool to ensure every drop melts off and vaporizes completely.
Best For:
Precise dosing of sticky waxes, oils, and shatters.
Keeping your hands clean and safe from high-heat surfaces.
Scraping every last bit of product out of the corners of your jars.
What defines an e-nail?
The Coil: A metal heating element that wraps snugly around the outside of your quartz or titanium banger.
The Surface: The heated surface that the coil wraps around. These styles include:
Quartz Banger: The coil fits around a standard banger, we recommend using a clip to ensure stability.
Titanium Nail: The ease of an enail with the durability of a titanium nail.
Quartz Hybrid: The durability of a titanium nail with the pure flavor experience of quartz.
Silicon Carbide: Silicon carbide can transfer heat quickly and efficiently. It has a low thermal expansion coefficient so it won't expand or contract as much as other materials when exposed to heat.
The Controller: A digital box connected to the coil that allows you to set and lock in a specific temperature down to the exact degree.
The Process: You plug the unit into a wall outlet and set your desired heat (for example, 315-450 F). The coil heats the banger automatically and maintains that temperature indefinitely, eliminating the need for a butane torch or "cool-down" timers.
What defines a cleaning station?
The Basin: A glass or plastic container designed to hold high-percentage isopropyl alcohol.
The Swabs: Cotton swabs that are often specifically designed for cleaning bangers.
The Process: Dip a swab in ISO and wipe out the warm banger, followed by a dry end to soak up the remaining liquid. This keeps the glass crystal clear and prevents "chazzing" or permanent black carbon buildup. You can also soak your bangers in ISO to keep them extra clean but make sure they are cooled down before dunking them in ISO to prevent cracking from thermal shock.
Best For:
Prolonging the life and clarity of your expensive quartz bangers.
Maintaining the pure flavor of your concentrates by removing old residue.
Keeping your dabbing space organized and clutter-free with a dedicated "cleaning hub."
